Reporting to Support & Supply Platform Manager
skills needed:
Experience of support and trouble shooting in Ericsson in the field of Mobile Core Network (MSC HLR MGw…) including work with Plex and traces using "Test System".
Knowledge of the GSM and 3G protocols and good understanding of the different traffic cases in the Network both from the aspect of the protocols and the Core Network Nodes (MSCHLRMGw).
To remedy faults in the CORE interface functions (2G & 3G)
CSR Handling
To remedy faults found while performing system upgrades
To plan design troubleshoot and resolve problems in order to stabilize and optimize customer networks
Assembly and testing of Correction packages
Emergency Support handling
To participate in customer meetings
A Suitable candidate should have the following DEGREE:
Bachelor and/or Master Degree in Computer Electric/Electronics and/or Telecommunications Engineering
A Suitable candidate should posses some of the following KNOWLEDGE:
Telecommunications Knowledge i.e. Telephony Principles Traffic Concepts Telecommunications Network
CORE protocols which is used in UMTS & GSM signaling
UMTS particularly MSC-S & MGW configuration which make up the UMTS CORE network
Solid IT (PC Unix and Networking) and Telecommunication skills at system level
Knowledge of most OSS-RC functions and protocols
Knowledge about OSS-RC characteristics

A minimum of 2 years experience in 3G CORE systems and minimum of 4 years experience in 2G CORE systems or standards with an operator or equipment vendor
